Revolut, the digital bank with over 40 million customers, has launched its cryptocurrency exchange, Revolut X, for professional traders. This move positions Revolut as one of the early adopters of a standalone crypto exchange within the banking industry. While Revolut has allowed customers to buy and sell cryptocurrencies within its app for years, the introduction of Revolut X aims to attract users to trade directly through the exchange by offering lower fees. According to an email announcement, Revolut will charge zero fees to makers of trades and 0.09% to takers. This development puts Revolut in direct competition with leading crypto exchanges.
