The Arbitrum Foundation supports the EDU Chain blockchain for education

The Arbitrum Foundation has provided support for the launch of EDU Chain, a blockchain platform designed specifically for education. The grant was given to Open Campus, a decentralized protocol dedicated to education, and will contribute to initiatives such as the Arbitrum Ambassador Program and educational content initiatives. The EDU Chain is the first layer3 blockchain for education and is built on the Arbitrum Orbit Stack. With this launch, Open Campus aims to create an ecosystem of decentralized applications (dapps) for students and educators, offering Ethereum-level security and improved scalability. The project has garnered support from various partners, including Animoca Brands. Currently, Arbitrum ranks first among all Layer 2 (L2) networks in terms of Total Value Locked (TVL) with approximately $16.28 billion. However, daily revenues for Arbitrum have seen a decrease from the record high of $3.43 million to $15,000 as of July 2. This collaboration between Arbitrum and Open Campus aims to revolutionize the field of education by leveraging the power of blockchain and decentralization.
