U.S. medical institutions will get a blockchain application for patient records

Romanian IT company TARA Interactive is working on a blockchain-based MedicalVault application for U.S. clinics.

A consortium of U.S. doctors came up with the idea for MedicalVault, a universal, blockchain-based application that will improve access and management of patients’ personal information in the U.S. healthcare system.

Developers say that MedicalVault will allow medical providers to securely transmit, store and summarize electronic versions of patient records for all patients at all hospitals nationwide.

The use of blockchain technology will ensure that data used by institutions such as law enforcement and insurance companies is accurate and immutable.. The first phase of the project is scheduled for completion in August.
