Hudson Rock: Hackers gained access to the Kodex Global portal and crypto exchange client databases

In a recent discovery, cybersecurity analysts at Hudson Rock have uncovered an advertisement on the dark web offering access to the Kodex Global portal for a price of $5,000. This portal facilitates the exchange of confidential information between security services of major cryptocurrency platforms like Binance or Coinbase and law enforcement agencies across different countries.

The mysterious individual behind this sale, who goes by the pseudonym Tamagami, has gained unauthorized access to Kodex Global. This breach allows attackers to request personal data of users from various digital and social platforms anonymously, posing a significant threat to the privacy and financial security of clients, as explained by experts at Hudson Rock. It is suspected that the hacker managed to infiltrate the Kodex Global system by infecting computers belonging to unidentified law enforcement officers with Infostealer malware.

“In this case, genuine law enforcement officers neglected cybersecurity measures, resulting in the interception of their account data. It is crucial for all organizations involved to take immediate action and implement robust security protocols to prevent unauthorized access to such systems,” cautioned the cybersecurity experts at Hudson Rock.

Currently, there have been reported at least 50 instances of unauthorized access to Kodex Global. These compromised points include the credentials of actual employees from renowned entities such as the Brazilian Civil Police, Arkansas Police (USA), Italian GDF agency, Portuguese Center for Forensic Research, and more.

Interestingly, there were publicized messages on social media platform X the previous day indicating a potential data leak of user information from the Binance cryptocurrency exchange.
