The US Attorney’s Office has charged a Moroccan man with stealing $450,000 worth of NFTs through the fake site OpenSea

The U.S. Attorney’s Office has charged a Moroccan citizen with stealing $450,000 worth of non-interchangeable tokens. Among them were two collectible Bored Apes tokens. When the cid-phrase was entered, the data was immediately transmitted to the fraudster. Turns out the infringer sold 39 stolen NFTs on the real OpenSea, including a bored monkey in a sailor’s cap with a cigar. The real owner of the stolen monkey once paid 9.88 ETH (about $18 700) for it, and 1,789 ETH (about $3400) for another NFT in the form of a robot dog.
