David Schwartz: “The noldxgr.com project has nothing to do with Ripple Labs”

Ripple’s chief technology officer has warned of the emergence of a fake online service called Noldxgr.com, which offers XRP giveaways and associates itself with Ripple Labs.

David Schwartz reported that a fake XRP eirdrop ad posted on the Noldxgr website contains a phishing link that could help steal users’ crypto assets.

A top Ripple executive pointed out that the site features a “plea to crypto investors” from Ripple Labs CEO Brad Garlinghouse, as well as fake comments on behalf of industry experts like BitBoy Crypto, Carl from the Moon and Crypto Rover.

Schwartz recalled: frauds related to XRP and Ripple increased immediately after the company partially won a court case against the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Since then, many criminals have decided to take advantage of the high interest in XRP and started creating fake websites en masse and advertising fake giveaways.

Unknown hackers hacked
the Twitter account of Hayden Adams, founder of the decentralized exchange Uniswap, to publish phishing links. The attackers wrote that an exploit was found in the Uniswap Permit2 contract, so users’ crypto assets were at risk and asked them to click on the link to protect their funds.
