Former Kickboxer Andrew Tate Announces Plans to Pump Altcoins, Drawing Cryptocurrency Community’s Attention

Former kickboxer Andrew Tate told subscribers that starting June 1 he will randomly select several altcoins and pump them. Although a few days ago he denied any interest in cryptocurrencies.

Popular blogger Andrew Tate shared on Twitter his plans to “pump” some altcoins or meme tokens chosen at random.

It is noteworthy that Tate became particularly interested in them after the rush started around the PEPE memcoin, whose market capitalization in May exceeded $1 billion.

Later, the hype died down, and a sharp correction began.

“Okay, I’ll back some shiatcoin and send it to the fucking moon on June 1.. Don’t buy any tokens until you get a signal from me, because it’s all garbage,” Tate wrote.

The former kickboxer’s tweet drew a lot of attention from the cryptocurrency community.

Many users have compared Tate to the flamboyant entrepreneur John McAfee, who often promoted fraudulent ICOs and orchestrated “pump-and-dump” schemes;

Interestingly, Tate posted this tweet hours after posting a video in which he states that he would never support cryptocurrencies.

On May 16, Andrew Tate wrote about the “bunch of idiot grad students” who launched the SLUTS token, and the crypto community began to claim that Tate wanted to promote it that way.

In response to massive criticism, the kickboxer recorded this video rebuttal.

“I don’t support shiatcoins.. I am not a crook, unlike other powerful people. I don’t need to rob my fans. I have nothing to do with cryptocurrencies,” Tate said.

Late last year, Tate endorsed bitcoin, saying it allows people to control their own money while expressing distrust of fiat currencies.
