Fred Krueger: "Solana Innovation is Science Fiction"

The CEO of WorkCoin and a Bitcoin advocate suggested that the recent hype surrounding the Solana crypto project is simply a ploy to divert attention away from the original cryptocurrency.

Fred Krueger dismissed the growing interest in the Solana blockchain and the rising value of the SOL coin as “pure fantasy”. He believes that the crypto community’s fascination with Solana is merely a distraction from the impending Bitcoin revolution. A vocal supporter of Bitcoin, Krueger even questioned the practical usefulness of the FireDancer update, which was intended to address network outages on Solana.

Krueger dismissed the concept of “killer applications” on the Solana blockchain, particularly in the context of games and social networks. He argued that Solana lags behind other blockchains and that integrating social platforms and ticket sales on Solana doesn’t make much sense.

Despite his reservations about Solana, Krueger remains upbeat about the potential approval of cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the United States. He sees this as a “game-changing shift” that will allow the general public to easily invest in Bitcoin through their brokerage accounts. Krueger predicts that the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will greenlight the launch of cryptocurrency ETFs between January 8 and 10.

In contrast to Krueger’s maximalist stance, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has called for a more cautious approach. He believes that investing solely in one cryptocurrency hinders the overall development of the industry and encourages diversification.
