The Avalanche team in its blog announced a partnership with Alibaba Cloud, a subsidiary of the Alibaba Group that focuses on cloud computing.
Cloudverse is designed to be a virtual space for businesses and brands:
“Alibaba has announced its entry into the metaverse on Avalanche! With Cloudverse, millions of Alibaba Cloud customers can easily deploy their own virtual spaces and unlock new opportunities for consumers.”
Avalanche will be developing the meta-universe itself in collaboration with the decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) Metaverse Union of Architects.
Alibaba Cloud will provide the project with its server capacity;
Avalanche says that users will be able to create their own spaces in the new meta-universe within a month of launch.
At the end of March 2023, Chinese tech giant Alibaba announced that it would set up a lab in Japan to train blockchain developers.
