A recent survey conducted by analytics platform ConsenSys found that Nigeria is the world leader in cryptocurrency awareness, with 99% of the country’s residents aware of it.
The ConsenSys survey was aimed at assessing global perception of cryptocurrencies, NFT, Web3, blockchain and meta-universes. The survey found that 92% of respondents worldwide had heard of cryptocurrencies, with Nigeria, South Africa and Brazil emerging as the most cryptocurrency savvy countries.
For example, 99% of respondents from Nigeria said they were aware of cryptocurrencies, with 90% expressing a willingness to invest in them. Notably, 70% of Nigerians also showed a good understanding of blockchain.
