Donald Trump’s NFTs Could Have Earned Him $1 Million, Says Ethics Office

According to a recent report from the U.S. Government Ethics Office (CREW), Donald Trump’s collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) could have earned him up to $1 million.

The Trump Collection was launched on December 15, 2022, with a total of 45,000 copies available at a cost of $99 per piece.

However, sales were limited to 100 pieces per person, and buyers had the chance to win prizes such as a VIP dinner with the former president.

The popularity of Trump’s NFTs was evident, as they sold out in under 24 hours.

In fact, after his arrest, sales of his NFTs soared by 450%, and that number jumped even higher, up to 500%, after the presentation of charges.

Despite this, it’s important to note that even with Trump’s popularity, he couldn’t surpass the fame of Bitcoin.

According to data from the Ahrefs platform, US internet users were more interested in searching for information about Bitcoin than the controversial former president or even the legendary Elvis Presley.

It’s clear that the world’s first on-demand cryptocurrency has surpassed topics like politics, Coca-Cola, religion, donuts, alimony, and healthcare in terms of popularity.
