JPMorgan CEO: “If I were in power, I would ban bitcoin”

The CEO of financial conglomerate JPMorgan Chase, Jamie Dimon, has called on the U.S. government to “shut down” bitcoin to stop its use by criminals.

Jamie Dimon’s comments came at the U.S. Senate Banking Committee’s annual hearing to discuss the uncertainty of cryptocurrency regulation. Dimon added that bitcoin can be used to circumvent sanctions and violate the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
