Revenues of bitcoin miners in May amounted to more than $900 million
.
Analysts believe this is a significant jump due to online activity. The surge in popularity of new Bitcoin-based NFTs has led to a surge in miners’ income from transaction fees – more than $120 million.
The number of transactions also increased significantly in May, to 16.9 million, compared to an average of 7.5 million to 10.7 million transactions per month in previous months, according to the publication.
It was recently reported that after another recalculation of bitcoin mining complexity, the figure increased by 3.4% to 51.23 Tx. That’s a record. For the first time, the complexity of BTC mining exceeded 50 trillion hashes.
In May, a solo miner with hardware processing power of 750 TH/s mined a block on the Bitcoin network numbered 790,958. For the block found, the miner received a reward of 6.25 BTC (approximately $170,000).<br
