The Ukrainian minister reported on the sale of cryptocurrency for 17.4 million hryvnia

Alexei Kamyshin, the newly appointed Minister of Strategic Industries in Ukraine, made headlines recently with his declaration of a hefty income from cryptocurrency sales. According to the declaration, the high-ranking official earned an impressive 17.4 million hryvnia from the sale of virtual assets in 2023.

The declaration also revealed that Minister Kamyshin’s total profit for the same year amounted to 46.3 million hryvnia. Out of this sum, a substantial $453,715 was earned from trading virtual assets. To put things into perspective, in 2022 alone, the politician generated over 1.8 million hryvnia ($47,640) from the sale of cryptocurrency.

Notably, Minister Kamyshin actively invests in securities and manages his assets on the popular Binance cryptocurrency exchange. As of now, his Binance account carries a balance of 0.00000967 BTC, 2.45 USDT, 9.32 BUSD, and 0.78 XRP.

Aside from his investments and involvement with virtual assets, Alexander Kamyshin’s property holdings are modest, limited to a house and a plot of land in the Cherkasy region.

Interestingly, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine’s Department for the Development of Virtual Assets recently announced plans to implement international standards aimed at combating money laundering through cryptocurrency transactions.
