U.S. Presidential Candidate Proposes “Fiat Currency Referendum” at Bitcoin 2023 Conference

Speaking at the Bitcoin 2023 conference in Miami, the U.S. presidential candidate suggested that the public turn the 2024 election into a “fiat currency referendum.

Vivek Ramaswamy  showed the crowd a QR code that, when scanned, redirects users to a page with various payment methods, including BTC and satoshi.

To receive funds in bitcoins, Ramaswamy chose the BitPay payment service, which also supports BCH, ETH, APE, LTC, DOGE and SHIB cryptocurrencies.

The candidate tweeted that he would be happy to receive even one dollar as support. U.S. tax residents can donate up to $6600 to the campaign, in return for receiving a non-transferable token (NFT) reward.
