Famous venture capitalist Tim Draper has restated his confident forecast that the initial cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, will ultimately reach a staggering $250,000 in value.
Draper originally anticipated this milestone to occur before June of this year, but he now acknowledges that it may take a little longer.
Despite this, the investor maintains his unwavering faith in the durability of cryptocurrencies and dismisses any suggestion that Bitcoin might disappear.
According to Draper, everyone stands to benefit from a global economy built on Bitcoin. This is not the first time Draper has made such bold claims, as he has repeatedly predicted that Bitcoin’s value will surge tenfold and reach $250,000 by 2023.
Even the downfall of major crypto exchange FTX will not deter Draper from his vision. He is convinced that the price of Bitcoin could surpass $250,000 if women around the world start using them for purchases at stores.
Draper regularly criticizes the apprehension of centralized governments towards crypto assets, particularly towards the leading cryptocurrency.
He insists that despite official concerns, cryptocurrencies will eventually revolutionize the financial system.
Draper recently delivered a speech titled “Decentralization of Everything” at the Paris Blockchain Week 2023 event, concluding his remarks with an original song about Bitcoin.
