Warren Buffett dismisses bitcoin as global reserve currency despite loss of confidence in US dollar

Famous investor and head of Berkshire Hathaway Warren Buffett said that the loss of people’s confidence in the dollar does not mean that bitcoin will become a global reserve currency.

Buffett responded to a question about the current trend toward de-dollarization and warned about the extent to which the U.S. is printing money.

Forget all the toys.. Thinking about any tokens is a joke, it’s crazy. But it’s also crazy to just keep printing money,” he said when asked about the world’s global currency and bitcoin.

Still, Buffett backed the dollar, saying he saw no candidates to replace it as the world’s reserve currency.

“However, people are losing faith in the currency.. It changes the economy,” he noted.
