Binance Launches Blockchain Education Program in Kazakhstan

The authorities of Kazakhstan signed a memorandum with the world's largest crypto exchange, under which the company will provide the country with educational materials and support initial blockchain courses at universities and colleges. Binance aims to teach blockchain to over 40,000 students at universities and colleges across the country by 2026. The crypto exchange cooperates with the research laboratory Blockchain Center, opened by the Center for the Development of Payment and Financial Technologies of the National Bank of Kazakhstan (NBK) and the Astana International Financial Center. Binance Kazakhstan General Manager Zhaslan Madiev says that, in accordance with the agreement, the crypto exchange will provide educational materials and support for the basic blockchain course. “Without raising the level of education and introducing blockchain throughout the country, it is impossible to become one of the main players in the field of digital technologies, which Kazakhstan aspires to become.. Therefore, we are ready to support this initiative,” said Gleb Kostarev, regional head of Binance in Asia. It is reported that the initiative came after the head of Binance, Changpeng Zhao, met with the country's president, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, in May.. In October, Zhao said he met with representatives of the PBOC and persuaded him to launch a digital tenge (CBDC) project on BNB Chain. Last week, the Central Bank of Kazakhstan announced the results of the first stage of a pilot project to introduce its own digital currency. According to the study, the introduction of digital currency does not pose any risks to the country's economy.
