Developers of the Cardano blockchain have revealed their plans for the upcoming year, promising a network update in 2024. This update, known as the Chang hard fork, aims to enhance the decentralized management of the project and introduce new features to the Yoroi crypto wallet, as confirmed by the Cardano team.
The Chang hard fork marks a significant milestone in achieving a viable governance system for the Cardano community, according to the developers.
The plan involves the creation of multiple governing bodies within the Cardano community to oversee the project. Notably, the Representation of Delegates of the Network (DReps) will play a key role. Elected by the community, DReps delegates will act as voting representatives to determine the operating rules of the Cardano network.
In a noteworthy partnership, the Cardano Foundation has joined forces with Brazilian energy company Petrobras to provide blockchain education programs to its extensive employee base, which exceeds 40,000 individuals.
