24 projects attracted $176.1 million in investments over the past week

  • The leader in the amount of funding received was the MapleStory Universe project.

Between December 16 and December 23, 24 projects attracted investments totaling $176.1 million.

In particular, during the week the following received funding:

  • $100 million – MapleStory Universe. GameFi startup has attracted investment from Nexon to create games on the blockchain with NFT elements. MapleStory Universe also published a roadmap that envisages the release of a token in the first half of 2024.
  • $15 million – Unblock Global. Argentine Bitcoin Miner Receives Funding from Crusoe Energy, Pampa Energia and Petrocuyo.
  • $13.7 million – Medallion. A platform where artists can create a “digital hub” to promote their work using NFTs has received investment. The seed funding round was led by Dragonfly and Lightspeed Faction, with participation from Coinbase Ventures, Infinite Capital, The Chernin Group, J17 Capital, Third Prime, Method Capital and others.
  • $11 million – Tres Finance. The company providing tax and accounting audit services for Web3 has completed a Series A investment round. Investors included New Form, Boldstart Ventures, Cyber Fund and Ambush Capital.
  • $7 million – Fiat Republic. British fintech company raises funds to develop banking services platform. Venture funds Kraken Ventures, Fabric Ventures, Arca and Inovo took part in the investment round. Fiat Republic aims to improve access to banking and payments for cryptocurrency companies. It has created a platform that allows you to connect to a number of global and local payment networks.
  • $6 million – Addressable. The Web3 platform, which provides advertising services, has attracted investments from Bitkraft Ventures, Fabric Ventures, Mensch Capital Partners, North Island Ventures. The funds are used to expand its services to additional advertising networks and blockchains.
  • $6 million – web3mine. Company that creates Web3 tools that help society move to “Internet infrastructure” has raised investment. The funding round was led by 1kx with participation from Protocol Labs and private investors.
  • $4.2 million – Tap Protocol. The Tap Protocol team has raised funding in a funding round led by venture capital firm Sora Ventures. Cypher Capital, Rw3, Oak Grove Capital, Perock Capital, Kosmos Ventures, New Tribe Capital, Cogitent Ventures, Compute Ventures, MSA Novo and private investors also participated in the fundraise. They plan to use the new capital to develop a platform on which applications can be created based on Bitcoin Ordinals.
  • $3.5 million – Wynd Network. The project has received investment to develop its Grass tool, which allows users to sell unused internet bandwidth to AI training companies.
  • $3.2 million – Fyde. The blockchain company has completed a seed funding round led by OP Crypto Ventures with participation from Arrington Capital, Big Brain Holdings and Merit Circle and private investors. The firm has developed a secure cryptocurrency storage solution that can be used by both beginners and experienced users.
  • $2.3 million – DM2C. DM2C, a company developing business in the Web3 sphere, including blockchain games and NFT projects, announced that it has attracted investments from Galaxy Interactive, Bitfinex, Mask Network, Shima Capital, Square Enix, Marblex, Planetarium. The funds are used to develop the Seamoon Protocol.
  • $2.2 million – formless. The decentralized network team has completed a pre-seed round of funding. Investments for the startup were provided by Andreessen Horowitz, WAGMI Ventures, Beacon Accelerator, Knights Capital, Zypsy and others. The company will use the new capital to advance its SHARE protocol.
  • $2 million – 4EVERLAND. The project, which provides Web3 infrastructure for startups, has attracted investments from Arweave, WaterDrip Capital, Bing Ventures, Forward Research, Web3.com Ventures, Arweave SCP Ventures, GTS Ventures, Hillstone and others. The funds received will be used for the further development and construction of 4EVERLAND.

A number of other projects have attracted funding, but have not reported the amount of investment.

Aki Protocol closed a Series A funding round, raising its valuation to $50 million. Investors include Marblex and Puzzle Ventures.

Startup GoDID attracted investment from NGC Ventures, after which its valuation increased to $30 million.

Japanese company CGV has made a strategic investment in Biis, a startup that provides tools for developers and users of the BRC ecosystem.

Algorand ecosystem participants announced plans to create a Voi Network project. To do this, they attracted investments from Arrington XRP Capital and Sonic Boom Ventures.

Rio Networkk, aiming to revolutionize the liquid restaking token industry, announced a seed funding round led by Polychain Capital, Blockchain Capital and Breyer Capital. In total, about 50 investors invested in the startup.

Hong Kong startup OneDegree attracts investment from Dubai Insurance. Once the capital is received, the company will begin offering digital asset insurance products to companies that apply for a cryptocurrency business license in Dubai.

The investment arm of the HTX cryptocurrency exchange, HTX Ventures, has invested in the Academic Labs platform, which uses artificial intelligence and Web3 technologies to improve the educational process. The new capital will help Academic Labs attract new users to Web3.

LK Venture has made a strategic investment in ALEX Labs, a startup providing financial solutions in the Bitcoin ecosystem.

The Frame blockchain team has completed a funding round led by Electric Capital with participation from private investors. They also announced an airdrop.

Developer community startup Moove Protocol has raised funding from Morningstar Ventures, ZBS Capital, Alpha Protocol Ventures, Let’s Go Ventures, NXGen, Antiga Capital and private investors.

Framework Ventures has made a strategic investment in the crypto gaming platform Immutable.
