33 projects attracted $323 million in investments over the past week

  • The leaders in terms of the amount of funding received were the LINE NEXT and Andalusia Labs projects.

Between December 9 and December 16, 33 projects attracted investments totaling $323.49 million.

In particular, during the week the following received funding:

  • $140 million – LINE NEXT. The corporation announced that it has raised funding from the investment company Crescendo Equity Partners. The company will use the new capital to expand its global business and develop new services as part of its strategy to popularize the Web3 ecosystem. LINE NEXT also talked about plans to launch an NFT platform in partnership with the Japanese trading platform DOSI in January 2024. The statement says that the marketplace will operate as a mobile application, and users around the world will have access to it.
  • $48 million – Andalusia Labs. The cryptocurrency startup raised funding in a Series A round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners. Pantera Capital, Framework Ventures, Bain Capital Crypto, Digital Currency Group (DCG) and others also took part in the financing.. After receiving investments, the company’s valuation reached $1 billion.
  • $30 million – GFO-X. The derivatives trading platform announced the completion of a $30 million Series B investment round led by $332 billion M&G Investments fund. The funds received will be used to support and develop the exchange.
  • $25 million – Canaan. Chinese manufacturer of Bitcoin mining devices raises equity funding. The company said it has closed the first tranche of the deal, under which it plans to raise up to $125 million by issuing convertible shares.
  • $13.5 million – Dynamic. The startup closed its Series A funding round, led by the a16z cryptocurrency fund. Investments will be used to introduce a set of new tools for wallets not related to data storage. Also participating in the round were Founders Fund, Castle Island Ventures, Breyer Capital and private investors.
  • $10 million – Farcana. The “sci-fi team shooter” team has raised seed funding from Animoca Brands, Polygon Ventures, Fenbushi Capital, Merit Circle and others. While the game is under development, they plan to introduce NFTs into it.
  • $10 million – Nonco. Digital asset brokerage firm raises new capital. The investment included a combination of shares and convertible bonds. Hack VC, Morgan Creek Digital, Valor Capital Group and private investors took part in the round.
  • $8 million – Lolli. The platform has completed a Series B round led by Bitkraft Ventures. The project team plans to use the funds received for further scaling and launching products for corporate clients.. The round included, among others, the following counterparties: Sfermion, Hypersphere Ventures, 2 Punks Capital, MZ Web3 Fund, Digital Currency Group and Company Ventures.
  • $6.74 million – Bit Origin. The startup received investments to build a new data center for cryptocurrency mining in the USA with a capacity of 25 MW. Management expects construction to be completed early in the second quarter of 2024, which will provide capacity for approximately 4,480 to 8,400 mining rigs.
  • $5.2 million – Pave Bank. A company aiming to change the global financial landscape by bridging the gap between traditional finance and digital assets has received funding. Investors included 468 Capital Quona Capital, FT Partners, BR Capital, w3.fund, Daedalus and others.
  • $5 million – Metagood. The blockchain company that launched the Osura marketplace has announced the completion of a funding round led by Sora Ventures with participation from ACTAI Ventures, Bitcoin Frontier Fund, Bitcoin Magazine Fund, London Real Ventures and Peach.xyz. The new funding will go towards developing new technologies, products and marketing.
  • $3 million – nftperp. Decentralized exchange with perpetual NFT futures completes Series A funding round. The round was led by 1kx with participation from Maven 11 and Mechanism Capita and private investors.
  • $2.9 million – GU. Technologies. The startup has attracted investment from B Dash Ventures. The company did not disclose details of the financing deal.
  • $2.7 million – RTI Blockchain. A Dutch company that uses digital assets in logistics has closed a funding round. The startup aims to make blockchain the world’s leading carrier management solution.
  • $2.5 million – Seam Social. The decentralized Web3 platform announced the completion of a seed funding round led by 1kx with participation from Seed Club Ventures, Sfermion, F7 Ventures, Social Graph Ventures and private investors.
  • $2.5 million – Brahma. The non-custodial protocol, which manages liquidity on blockchains and decentralized applications, has received investments from Greenfield Capital, Maven 11 Capital, Framework Ventures, Bitscale Capital and Safe.
  • $1.8 million – EthosX. Decentralized derivatives trading platform announces completion of funding round. Investors included Y Combinator, Franklin Templeton, Ascensive Assets, Emurgo Ventures, Stacker VC, Sudo Research. Token Metrics Ventures, Cogitent Ventures, Asymmetry VC, Upsparks VC and others.
  • $1.25 million – Liquidity. The startup, which aims to build a lending platform, raised funding in a previous seed funding round. Investors included Bitcoin Frontier Fund, Side Door Ventures, Actai Ventures, Sora Ventures, Spicy Capital, UTXO Management.
  • $1.2 million – Hackless. Blockchain security solutions company completes funding round. Investments were provided by such counterparties as DaoMaker, Insignius Capital, Cosima Capital, DeltaHub Capital, Factorial and Halvings Capital. They plan to use the new capital to improve their innovative security solutions Wallet Rescue and Sentinel.
  • $1.2 million — NodeKit. The team behind Avalanche’s SEQ network raised funding from a previous seed round led by Borderless Capital with participation from Avalanche Blizzard Fund, Polygon Ventures and Wormhole Cross-Chain Ecosystem Fund. SEQ is scheduled to launch on the testnet in 2024, and later on the mainnet.
  • $1 million – Enphyr. Ethereum-based L2 network has closed a seed round of funding led by Waveslab Ventures. After receiving investments, the startup’s valuation increased to $10 million. The funds are used to expand the team and improve engineering initiatives to accelerate the implementation of the roadmap.
  • $1 million – Hivello. The startup, operating in the decentralized physical infrastructure network sector, has attracted investments from NGC, Blockchain Founders Fund, Side Door Ventures, IDG, Bing Ventures, MEXC Exchange, XT.com Exchange, Genesis Block and NxGen.
  • $1 million – Molecule. Decentralized biotech protocol bringing intellectual property to Web3 raises funding from Sora Ventures.

A number of other projects have attracted funding, but have not reported the amount of investment.

BitJungle invested in NFT data analysis platform NFTScan. The parties will also cooperate to study data on the blockchain.

Startup Reltime received funding approval from the Research Council of Norway. The firm is using the funds to develop a solution called “Using 5G Mobile Phones as Node Validators on the Reltime L1 Blockchain for Microtransactions.”

AIT Protocol announced the completion of a funding round. Morningstar Ventures, Basement DAO, Contango Digital Assets, Alpha Protocol Ventures, Momentum 6, Megala Ventures and 15 other private investors invested in the startup.

Web3 gaming platform Matr1x has attracted investment from OKX Ventures.

L2 blockchain Morph announced it has received a “multi-million dollar investment” from the Bitget cryptocurrency exchange. The company expects to launch the Morph testnet in January 2024, with a mainnet beta launch in the second quarter of the year.

Cryptocurrency startup Spielworks completes strategic funding round with participation of The Hashgraph Association. The funds will be used to acquire the universal NFT platform Atomic Hub and accelerate the expansion of the gaming ecosystem.

BitSmiley has received funding from OKX Ventures.

Dora Factory Protocol Closes Funding Round with Participation from dao5 and Whampoa Digital. The new capital will help the startup develop its infrastructure.

KuCoin’s cryptocurrency exchange division, KuCoin Labs, has made a strategic investment in Dovi, which focuses on creating innovative solutions for developing L2 solutions in the Bitcoin ecosystem.

Web3 company Blocksmith raised funds from MZ Web3 Fund and SAKURA UNITED PLATFORM. The funds raised are used to develop blockchain games and technologies, including the creation of an AI Lab in April 2023.
