Arthur Hayes: Bitcoin will become an artificial intelligence currency

  • This is his opinion in his latest essay
  • Hays also predicted bitcoin could reach $760,000 by 2025-2026

A short time ago, former BitMEX CEO, Arthur Hays, published an essay titled “Mass.. In it, he expressed the opinion that bitcoin, with its digital, anti-censorship, and restricted nature, is the ideal currency for artificial intelligence systems.

“I believe that for any AI system the two most important factors are data and processing power. This is analogous to food for humans. Artificial intelligence requires data and power that provide life energy. I believe AI should work with a currency that retains its purchasing power of energy over long periods of time,” Hayes’ essay said.

Arthur noted that bitcoin’s scarcity and its resistance to censorship give artificial intelligence technology an advantage over other forms of currency. Unlike stocks of gold and fiat currencies, bitcoins are finite, creating a predictable financial basis for such systems that cannot be manipulated.

Hayes said if AI adopts bitcoin, it could collide two needs: avoiding inflation in the fiat system and a desire to participate in the next stage of human and computer evolution. This may prompt investors to reassess the potential growth of bitcoin.

In addition, Arthur has taken to predicting the price of BTC. He said that by 2025/2026, the AI economy could account for 5% to 50% of global GDP, potentially raising the value of bitcoin to $760,000 per coin.
