Axie Infinity Origins Season 8 has come to a close, and now the Postseason has begun. The highlight of the Postseason is the highly anticipated Elite 8 tournament, where the top 8 players from the previous season will battle it out for a prize pool of 3,000 AXS. In addition to the tournament, there will be giveaways during the livestream, with up to 600 Axies up for grabs.
As part of the new update, two new Axies will be introduced into the game: Machito and Bard. Machito is a trickster and musician, wielding maracas to distract and protect his team. The timeline for the release of these packs is as follows: Rare S8.5 Box on May 29th, Epic S8.5 Box on June 1st, and Mystic S8.5 Box on June 5th.
The Offseason Collectible Leaderboard will also be returning, allowing players who own collectible Axies to compete for AXS rewards from a shared pool of 4,000 AXS. The leaderboard will be active from May 29th to June 12th, and players will earn points based on their rank, with different multipliers based on the rarity of their collectible Axies.
