The head of Skybridge Capital and celebrity billionaire Anthony Scaramucci spoke at Collision 2023 event in Toronto. He said that former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried has done great damage to the cryptocurrency industry in the United States.</nbsp;
The sudden bankruptcy of the cryptocurrency exchange and the exposure of its “black business” has set off a great chain of events.. All of this has led to severe crypto repression and other problems.
“He embarrassed politicians; he gave them lots of money. They spent a lot of time with him, Gary Gensler spent a lot of time with him. And then they had this huge situation. And it was very frustrating.. And now the pendulum has swung too far in the direction of over-regulation in this ridiculous prosecutorial oversight.”
Journalists asked Scaramucci’s opinion on crypto-regulation in Canada. He believes that the country has taken successful examples of cooperation from the U.S.. The politician praises Canada’s laws and believes the region will thrive.
In his final speech, Scaramucci talked a lot about Binance. He believes that the head of CZ will continue to face trouble. But he remains the “most influential man” in crypto.
“In fact, he has the largest platform, and it is the one that can get mass distribution, while remaining the legitimate source from which they will continue to operate in all major jurisdictions in the world.”
