The BNB Chain community released a new proposal to lower transaction costs on BSC back on March 29.
They said it was done to improve competitiveness, saying the reduction would make BSC L1 more attractive than competing Layer2 options .
The statement also said the lower gas fees would help support the economy and boost BSC’s market position.
“High gas prices are hampering network operations.
In addition to high transaction volume in the BNB Chain, the strategy is projected to improve sustainability, attract new users and maximize blockchain consumption.”
The overall reduction in gas fees will provide a win-win solution for the entire ecosystem.
