Binance co-founder Yee He: “The era of recklessness in crypto is over”

  • The most powerful woman in crypto interviewed by Bloomberg
  • She sees the current situation as a global change of trend
  • The industry will eventually fall under total regulation

Binance co-founder and chief marketing officer Yee He commented on the scandals surrounding the company and the industry as a whole. She gave a lengthy interview to Bloomberg reporters. The topic was industry regulation.

“If regulators really took the time to understand our industry, they would see that if Binance is not compliant, almost no other global trading platform or offshore company is either.”

Yee He reiterated Binance’s longstanding message that they respect regulators and are willing to work with them. In general, she believes the rules are more protective of investors than companies. And that they are “inevitable all over the world.. They will have to be respected, despite the protest of many crypto platforms.

“The era of cryptography, where anything is possible, is over.. If you can’t beat them, you should give up.”

Yi He declined to comment on SEC allegations that market makers associated with Changpeng Zhao helped the exchange manipulate volume and move funds offshore. She only noted that Binance did not use client funds for third-party purposes. And it also did not deposit a BNB token to secure the loan.

In the meantime, Binance has started having problems with its banking partner in Europe. Paysafe Payment will suspend support for the exchange.
