Binance Delists Privacy Tokens on National Exchange Platforms in Four European Countries

The world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange notified users in France, Italy, Poland, and Spain about the delisting of privacy tokens on national exchange trading platforms.

A Binance spokesperson said the restrictions are imposed on 12 privacy tokens: Decred (DCR), Dash (DASH), Zcash (ZEC), Horizen (ZEN), PIVX (PIVX), Navcoin (NAV), Secret (SCRT), Verge (XVG), Firo (FIRO), BEAM. (BEAM), Monero (XMR) and MobileCoin (MOB).

As of June 26, these tokens will no longer be available for trading to Binance customers in all four jurisdictions.

“We are required to comply with European laws and regulations that prohibit trading in crypto-assets of increased anonymity.

Therefore, from June 26, 2023 customers who live in France, Italy, Poland and Spain will no longer be able to buy or sell CAEs on our platform,” announced a representative of Binance.

Earlier, cryptocurrency exchange Binance reported about the imminent shutdown of 11 trading pairs with the Australian dollar. Access to trading pairs will be disabled on June 1.
