Binance has registered with the Swedish Financial Services Authority

Binance has announced that its division Binance Nordics AB has been registered with the Swedish Financial Services Authority (FSA) as a virtual currency management and trading institution. Binance management announced that the registration of the exchange with the FSA will allow the residents of Sweden to legally provide a wide range of services related to cryptocurrencies and Web3. This includes deposits and withdrawals in EUR, buying crypto assets with EUR, spot and margin trading, staking, custodial services, as well as the use of Binance Earn, Binance Pay, Binance Pool, BNB Vault and Binance Visa card. Binance Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Head Richard Teng noted that the registration of the exchange was completed after several months of constructive interaction with the regulator.. In addition to the fact that Sweden falls under EU laws, the country has additional requirements for organizations working with finance. Therefore, Binance Nordics AB has adopted the FSA's anti-money laundering policy and has expressed its willingness to comply with the agency's strict standards, Teng said. “The exchange’s next challenge will be to recruit local staff, hold various events and organize educational seminars on cryptocurrencies in Sweden,” added Roy van Krimpen, Director of Binance Nordic and Benelux. Recall that last year Binance received a license for a virtual asset service provider (VASP) in Dubai and New Zealand, and in October it registered with the Committee of the Astana International Financial Center (AIFC). Earlier, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao said that the crypto asset industry will not be able to fully develop without interaction with regulators.
