Binance hired a former U.S. Justice Department prosecutor to sue the SEC

  • He has been with the department for 15 years

Binance is preparing for its legal battle with the SEC. Earlier we reported that the exchange allocated $1 billion for this purpose, and hired the best lawyers from Wall Street. And now a former prosecutor from the Justice Department has joined the company’s camp.

This is according to Bloomberg, citing the exchange’s June 22 court filing. It states that the former deputy assistant prosecutor general M. Kendall Day will serve as an advisor to the firm.

He is currently a partner at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher. Day spent 15 years at the Justice Department. He specialized in criminal cases.</nbsp;

We recall that in early June, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed a 13-count indictment against Binance, its U.S. subsidiary and CEO. Among other things, it says there is misuse of client funds and misleading investors.. They either work for cryptocurrency companies themselves or provide consulting services. Read more at the link.
