Binance Investigations and Law Enforcement Team Up to Seize $4.4 Million Linked to North Korean Hackers

We recently wrote that the U.S. Treasury Department discovered and froze Binance cryptocurrencies linked to hackers from North Korea. Now the case has received new details.

So it turned out that these accounts were storing $4.4 million worth of crypto-assets.. These funds were recovered and blocked by the Binance Investigations team.

The crypto exchange specifies that it began “figuring out” crypto hacking more than a year ago. They had help from U.S. detectives.

In fact, the Binance Investigations team works around the world to help fight cryptocurrencies. They recently conducted special training for Ukrainian detectives.
