Bitcoin blasts past $71.5k setting new all-time high

Bitcoin skyrocketed to a new all-time high on March 11, reaching $71,500, as investors continued to pour liquidity into the market. This surge pushed Bitcoin’s market capitalization close to $1.4 trillion. Notably, South Korean crypto exchanges saw prices exceed $75,000, driven by factors such as the Kimchi premium. The trading volume of spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) also surpassed $100 billion, with BlackRock’s ETF accumulating $10 billion in assets under management faster than any other ETF in U.S. history. Tom Lee, the founder of FundStrat Global Advisors, even predicted a potential surge to $150,000 in the next 12 to 18 months.
