Bitcoin mining company Greenidge Generation Holdings Inc. has taken legal action against the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation after its air permit renewal was denied. The company filed a petition and complaint in the New York Supreme Court, alleging that the denial was based on a misinterpretation of environmental regulations. Greenidge is seeking injunctive relief to prevent the cessation of operations at its Dresden facility. In its second-quarter earnings report, the company reported total revenue of $13.1 million and a net loss of $5.5 million. Despite this, Greenidge is optimistic about future earnings due to cost-saving measures, the relocation of mining operations, and the introduction of new products like the Greenidge Pod X. The company believes these strategic decisions will drive growth and profitability in the coming quarters.
