Bitcoin Spot ETFs to be Approved Tomorrow? Bloomberg Analyst Debunks Speculations

Bloomberg’s cryptocurrency analyst James Seyffart has dismissed the rumors suggesting that Bitcoin Spot ETFs will be approved tomorrow. Contrary to earlier speculation, Seyffart believes that the approval date is more likely to be between January 8 and January 10.

TechCrunch reporter Jacquelyn Melinek had previously claimed, based on information from SEC sources, that the institution would approve spot Bitcoin ETFs and anticipated a positive development on Friday. However, Seyffart’s statement contradicts this information.

Reuters and FOX Business had also previously reported that approvals could potentially be granted on January 2-3, but these dates came and went without any progress. FOX Business reporter Eleanor Terrett later suggested that Friday could be the focal point for the approval of BTC Spot ETFs.

Bloomberg analysts are not expecting any significant developments this week and are instead concentrating on January 10. This date marks the SEC’s final decision day for ARK Invest’s BTC Spot ETF application. The SEC may choose to either postpone, accept, or reject Bitcoin Spot ETFs on that day. If rejected, it is likely that the applicant companies will file a lawsuit with the SEC.
