Bitfinex teams up with Ledger-backed Komainu to enhance crypto trading and custody

Bitfinex has announced a partnership with Komainu Connect, a regulated custodian backed by Ledger, with the aim of enhancing cryptocurrency trading and custody services. The collaboration will focus on developing a remote custody solution that allows for seamless transfers between custody and the exchange. The companies will be using Ledger Tradelink technology for off-exchange trading and settlement.
By joining forces with Komainu, Bitfinex intends to provide institutional investors with a secure and liquid trading environment while benefiting from the regulated custody solution offered by Komainu. This joint solution will give institutions access to Bitfinex’s deep liquidity and advanced trading features while ensuring the security of their assets through Komainu. The partnership is expected to boost liquidity across their network and expand their ecosystem of trusted exchanges. Sebastien Badault, Executive VP of Enterprise Revenue at Ledger, believes that this collaboration could set a new standard for off-exchange collateral pledging and settlement, benefiting the institutional digital asset market.
