BitMEX Founder Arthur Hayes Finds Ethereum Unlikely To Be Assailed by Challengers, Says ETH Not Standing Still

BitMEX founder Arthur Hayes believes that Ethereum (ETH) is unlikely to be surpassed by other smart-contract platforms. In an interview with The Big Whale, Hayes highlighted Ethereum’s leadership in terms of innovative applications and developer community. He noted that most innovations start on Ethereum and are later replicated on other chains. Hayes mentioned Solana (SOL) as a platform with a lot of buzz but believes it will be challenging for them to overtake ETH. He emphasized that Ethereum is not standing still, with the development of layer-2 scaling solutions and improved transaction costs and speed. Ethereum currently has a market cap of $296 billion, while Solana’s market cap stands at around $68.1 billion.
