BREAKING: Whale Alert Claims Over $100 Billion XRP Deposited on Cryptocurrency Exchanges – Reality or Myth?

Whale Alert, renowned for its alerts regarding significant whale transactions, has alleged that an astonishing $147 billion worth of Ripple (XRP) coins were transferred to cryptocurrency exchanges Binance and Bitfinex. However, this assertion seems highly improbable given that the total XRP in circulation amounts to merely 54 billion XRP. The CEO of Bitfinex, Paolo Ardoino, also addressed the matter, revealing that the exchange had come under an attempted attack known as a “Partial Payments Attack.” Ardoino stated that Bitfinex successfully thwarted the attack by appropriately processing the ‘delivered_amount’ data field.

Upon closer examination, it becomes apparent that the attacker had sent approximately $147 billion worth of fraudulent Ripple (XRP) coins through invalid transactions using the “Partial Payments” feature, which permits the sender to deliver an amount lower than what is specified. As always, it is crucial to remember that this article does not provide investment advice.
