Cardano (ADA) has just released the latest upgrade for Ogmios, their Cardano-node bridge interface. This upgrade, version 6.7.0, specifically addresses the issue of era mismatch errors that users have been experiencing when submitting transactions. With Ogmios v6.7.0, these errors are now a thing of the past.
Matthias Benkort, the Cardano Foundation’s tech director, explained that the new software automatically upgrades transactions from previous eras, up until the Alonzo era, upon submission. This means that even if a transaction is from a previous era (such as Babbage or Alonzo) while the system is currently in a more recent era (such as Conway), it will be processed without any issues.
The release of Ogmios v6.7.0 marks a significant milestone for the Cardano (ADA) network. It comes after the activation of the Chang hard fork, which ushered in the Conway era. This upgrade specifically focuses on addressing the era mismatch issue that arose after the Alonzo hard fork in September 2021.
In addition to the Ogmios upgrade, the Cardano (ADA) ecosystem has achieved another important development. For the first time ever, the liquidity pools of Cardano-based altcoins are now visible on DEX Screener, a popular decentralized finance (DeFi) browsing platform. Currently, DEX Screener tracks 34 ADA-based liquidity mechanisms, including the largest one, BOOK/ADA, with a verified market cap of $121 million, and SNEK/ADA, which has amassed $55 million.
To access the Ogmios v6.7.0 upgrade, interested users can find the software packages in the Cardano Solutions GitHub repository. This upgrade brings much-needed improvements to the Cardano (ADA) network, resolving the era mismatch errors and further enhancing its DeFi ecosystem.
