Cardano Community Initiates ICC Voting for Chang Hard Fork Governance

Cardano’s community has started the voting process for the Interim Constitutional Committee (ICC) as part of the governance restructuring under the upcoming Chang hard fork. This voting allows ADA holders to select three new members for the ICC, and it is being conducted through the Summon Platform until June 23. Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, clarified that the entire package, including the fork-ready candidate, the guardrail contract, and the interim constitution, will be released with the release candidate node. Some community members have expressed concerns about the lack of transparency in the process and suggested alternative methods to foster a more open dialogue. The Cardano Constitution, currently an off-chain document, aims to encapsulate the platform’s core values, and the ICC acts as its guardian. The outcomes of the voting and the integration of the interim constitution will have a significant impact on Cardano’s governance and operational landscape. At present, Cardano (ADA) is trading at $0.3866, with a slight increase in the past day and a decrease over the past week.
