Cardano Founder Describes “Charles Derangement Syndrome”

Cardano Founder Defines “Charles Derangement Syndrome”

Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, recently coined the term “Charles Derangement Syndrome” (CDS) to describe the negative and often irrational perceptions people have towards him. This term was created in response to the criticism he receives from cryptocurrency detractors. Hoskinson outlined the various manifestations of CDS, which include assumptions of malicious intent, denial of his achievements, exaggerated negative opinions, and baseless accusations. In a light-hearted manner, he suggested sending a whiteboard video and a “hosky plushie” to those exhibiting symptoms of CDS. This depiction highlights the polarization that exists in the crypto space, where influential figures face intense scrutiny and bias. “Charles Derangement Syndrome” refers to a phenomenon where constructive criticism turns into personal attacks. Despite rumors of him leaving Cardano for another blockchain project, Hoskinson firmly denies such speculations. He emphasizes his commitment to Cardano and the dedication of IOG’s engineers and scientists. Despite his involvement in Midnight, Hoskinson remains fully committed to Cardano.
