Cardano Founder Says DeFi in Bitcoin Will Dwarf That of Ethereum and Solana

Cardano creator Charles Hoskinson is confident that the development of decentralized finance (DeFi) on the Bitcoin network will surpass that of Ethereum and Solana. This comes after a recent collaboration between Cardano and BitcoinOS to integrate smart contract capabilities into the Bitcoin ecosystem. Hoskinson expressed his intention to facilitate the adoption of DeFi on Bitcoin by organizing training sessions for Bitcoin developers on using Aiken, a programming language and toolkit for creating smart contracts on the Cardano network. He also plans to relaunch the Bitcoin Education Project and develop a new course dedicated to the cryptocurrency. This marks a change of heart for Hoskinson, who previously criticized Bitcoin but now acknowledges its importance in the crypto industry. His positive outlook on Cardano’s future growth also includes surpassing Ethereum, as he believes in its potential. The partnership with BitcoinOS has contributed to a shift in his perspective, as he welcomes Bitcoin to Cardano and expresses enthusiasm about the collaboration.
