Coinbase Launched Money Transfers Via Simple Links

The US-based crypto exchange Coinbase has introduced a new service that will allow clients to send money via the world’s most popular instant messengers and similar services.

In its blog, the company noted the convenience of sending money wherever there is a way to share a link: WhatsApp, iMessage, Telegram, Facebook, Snapchat, TikTok and Instagram, or even via email.

According to Coinbase, people will be able to send money to other parties even if they are in other countries, and transfers will be instant and free. Both the sender and recipient of the funds will need to have a Coinbase wallet. If a person is sent a link and does not have a Coinbase digital wallet yet, they will be prompted to download one from the Apple or Android application stores. If funds are sent and not received within two weeks, the money will automatically be returned to the sender.

The Coinbase wallet is currently available in more than 170 countries. Coinbase’s efforts to increase the popularity of the digital wallet come amid rising crypto market capitalization. The innovation will significantly increase the attractiveness of digital currencies and will be another incentive for market growth.
