Credit Suisse launches NFT collection in honor of women soccer players

  • It’s a project in support of the Swiss national team
  • You can buy art tokens through the Credit Suisse CSX app

Credit Suisse and the Swiss Football Association are launching a joint project. This is an NFT collection to support the women’s soccer team.

So, the collection is based on the Ethereum blockchain and includes 756 art tokens. They represent the top players of the Swiss women’s national team.

Interestingly, these NFTs will be available exclusively through the Credit Suisse CSX banking app.. Trading will run from July 11 to August 31.

The head of digital assets in Switzerland at Credit Suisse, Daniel Gorrera, gave more details about the new project. He said that the bank is beginning to explore a new area of digital assets. And he also hinted that Credit Suisse is willing to become a regulated partner for blockchain projects.

“When we developed the collection, we consciously tried to make it easier for the user to participate in the evolving world of NFT. It is also the beginning of a journey towards the innovative use of digital assets in new types of financing and servicing models. In this space, Credit Suisse has good opportunities for issuing parties looking for regulated partners.”

Remind that during the spring banking crisis, Credit Suisse ran into problems. So they had to go under the management of a rival bank, UBS. Prior to these events, Credit Suisse got involved in venture capital investing in crypto projects and supported the startup Taurus.
