Crypto.com exchange receives approval from the Dutch Central Bank to operate in the country

An official notice from cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com says that the company has registered as a cryptocurrency service provider with De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB).

.

Successful registration with DNB will facilitate the approval of Crypto.com’s activities by regulators in all Eurozone countries. An opinion from the Dutch financial regulator said the cryptocurrency platform complies with the country’s anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing requirements.

According to the DNB, 36 cryptocurrency companies, including Coinbase Europe, eToro and Bitstamp, have so far successfully registered with the Dutch Central Bank. The registration allows cryptocurrency service providers to provide crypto wallets to customers and process fiat currency on cryptocurrency exchanges.

Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek said the registration with the Dutch Central Bank will allow the company to market its services to Dutch users and provide a full range of exchange services.

Earlier, the largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance said it would stop registering clients from the Netherlands, and from July 17 its existing users will only be able to withdraw funds.
