Cumberland and Amber Group Transfer $35 Million in ETH to Exchanges

Cumberland and Amber Group, two prominent institutional crypto players, have recently made substantial Ethereum transfers, raising concerns among the cryptocurrency community. On-chain analytics firm Lookonchain revealed that both institutions transferred large amounts of ETH to popular exchanges Kraken and Binance, sparking speculation about potential selling activity. Lookonchain shared this information on its official social media account.

According to Lookonchain, Amber Group, a well-known crypto financial services provider, deposited approximately 6,443 ETH (equivalent to $17.62 million) to Kraken and Binance a few hours ago. This suggests that the platform may be preparing to sell a significant portion of its ETH holdings.

The timing of these substantial ETH deposits has led to speculations about portfolio rebalancing or a bearish sentiment. Such indications often result in downward pressure on prices within the crypto industry. Following the transaction from Amber Group, Cumberland, a global crypto trading firm, also made a deposit.

Lookonchain reported that Cumberland deposited around 6,439 ETH tokens valued at approximately $17.66 million to Binance. This move has raised speculation that Cumberland may also be offloading its ETH holdings.
