Deep Chainsaw: Milei’s Government Prepares New Measures to Curb Public Spending

Deep Chainsaw: Milei’s Government Revolutionizes Public Spending Reduction

In a decisive move towards fiscal responsibility, Federico Sturzenegger, the Minister of De-Regulation and State Transformation under Argentine President Javier Milei, unveiled plans for groundbreaking measures aimed at slashing public spending. Aptly named “Deep Chainsaw,” these initiatives will focus on liberalizing various sectors, including passenger freight transport, air transport, the medicines market, and sports associations. Sturzenegger emphasized the significance of this upcoming deep cut, highlighting that public employment had already decreased by approximately 12 or 13% in the past eight months, but a more substantial reduction is on the horizon. By curbing state expenditures, the entire society is set to benefit, free from the burdens of debt, inflation, and excessive taxes that plagued it before.
