Democratic Candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Criticizes US Regulators for “War on Cryptocurrency”

  • He believes regulators have overstepped their authority
  • And caused several financial problems
  • This is important rhetoric from the presidential candidate

Democratic candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (and nephew of former President John F. Kennedy) addressed his Twitter followers.

He criticized the “war on cryptocurrency” now being waged by U.S. authorities.

The politician believes regulators are exceeding their authority by imposing unfair bans or fines on cryptocurrency companies.

“Ellen Brown makes a strong case that the FDIC/SEC war on cryptocurrency has bankrupted SVB, Signature and Silvergate.

The FDIC and SEC have no right to wage an illegal war on cryptocurrency that makes  big banks victims of collateral damage”

We note that the question of the SVB/Signature/Silvergate bankruptcies being linked to the crypto-sphere remains controversial.

But the politician’s main message is to stop the reckless repression of the industry.

Robert Kennedy has been called a minor candidate. Democrats give Joe Biden a better chance of re-election (at least for now).

But his remarks show that cryptocurrency will be a key political issue in the coming race.

Kennedy Jr. has previously opposed CBDCs because they are under state control. And he called bitcoin “the only way to salvation.
