EigenLayer announces AVS rewards, EIGEN programmatic incentives

EigenLayer, the Ethereum restaking protocol, has announced the launch of a rewards program that will incentivize stakers and operators for securing Actively Validated Services (AVSs). This program will provide direct token-based rewards to stakers and node operators through the EigenLayer protocol. In addition, EigenLayer will distribute 4% of the EigenLayer (EIGEN) total supply as part of its new EIGEN programmatic incentives program. The distribution of rewards will be proportional to the number of AVSs supported by participants, with the aim of encouraging early adoption and participation in the EigenLayer ecosystem. The rewards program will be available in the coming weeks, while programmatic incentives are scheduled for the coming months. To date, EigenLayer has restaked over 4.8 million ETH and over 108 million EIGEN, with 16 launched AVSs and over 300 operators.
