Before this sudden increase, the number of transactions on the network was averaging around 7,500 per day.
The EOS network last made headlines on December 6, when it was celebrating its 5th year, for reaching an important milestone. EOS achieved a significant accomplishment by reaching the 2,000-day milestone with zero network interruptions.
