Ethereum co-founder transferred 22,000 ETH to the Kraken exchange

Effrey Wilke, one of Ethereum’s co-founders, showed rare activity. He transferred about $41 million in ETH to the U.S. cryptocurrency platform Kraken. Notably, the transaction fee was a mere 0.000462 ETH, or $0.86.

A Twitter user nicknamed EmberCN posted details of the transaction:

Famous analyst firms such as Nansen and Arkham have confirmed that the address indeed belongs to Jeffrey. They also reported that the last time there was activity on the wallet was about 2.5 years ago.

The last time Jeffrey Wilke’s address made an Ethereum transfer was 29 months ago, specifically January 6, 2021, when he transferred 15,000 ETH to the Kraken exchange. He currently has over 150,000 Ethereums in his account with a total value of over $280 million.</nbsp;

The ETH price had almost no reaction to the news. The coin is currently trading at $1867:
