Ethereum Leads The Charge as Weekly Crypto Inflows Hit $176M—CoinShares

Ethereum Captures Investor Attention with $155 Million Inflows, Leading Crypto Market Revival—CoinShares

In a significant turnaround for the crypto market, data from CoinShares reveals a resurgence in investor confidence. The asset manager’s latest report on digital asset fund flows shows a total of $176 million in inflows last week, indicating a unanimous positive sentiment among investors. Notably, Ethereum-based funds stood out with $155 million inflows, marking the highest intake this year.

James Butterfill, head of research at CoinShares, attributes the renewed interest in Ethereum to the recent introduction of spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the United States. The successful live trading of these funds has not only boosted Ethereum’s position in the global crypto market but also contributed to the increase in its market capitalization and investment product offerings.

Despite experiencing outflows earlier in the week, Bitcoin still managed to end the week with a positive total inflow of around $13 million. However, Short Bitcoin ETPs saw their largest outflows since May 2023, indicating a significant investor exit and reducing the asset under management (AuM) for short positions.

CoinShares emphasizes that the overall market sentiment has been overwhelmingly positive, even amidst initial volatility. Several regions, including the United States, Switzerland, Brazil, and Canada, have played a leading role in injecting substantial capital into the market, highlighting a collective bullish outlook.

In terms of market performance, both Ethereum and Bitcoin have held their ground against bearish trends. Ethereum is currently trading above $2,500, showcasing a notable increase of over 11% in the past week. Bitcoin, on the other hand, has witnessed an 11.4% surge, maintaining its price below $60,000.

The crypto market’s recent revival, led by Ethereum’s impressive inflows, indicates a growing interest and confidence in digital assets among investors worldwide.
